More about my whimsical brand
Fiber Felt Creations began at an early age when my mother and Grandmother began sewing and crocheting around me. I was fascinated by what they created and began making little garments for my dolls. This allowed me to understand how important fit and finish were. I was taught how to design and sew most of my school clothes. All the while I learned about texture and appropriate weights of fabric for different uses. I learned to spin yarn from all kinds of materials both protein fiber (wool, alpaca, silk and more) and vegetable fibers (cotton, flax, rayon, and others, etc.) This lead to the amazing integration of skills I have acquired. Combining sewing, knitting, crochet, felting, wet felting , embroidery and textile paints has taken me into a creative space that gives me the freedom to create with no limits.
My work can be viewed at the Viola Jo’s Art Store in Tubac, Arizona. Look for coming workshops there and through Green Valley Recreation in Green Valley, Arizona.
